Ranking all the G Films
Posted: Fri Oct 10, 2008 7:19 pmThis was hard, but I've already ranked all three individual series, so why not go for the gusto and rank all 29 together!
I've already posted my thoughts on the movies in the other threads, so just go read those to check them out.
29) Godzilla vs. Megalon
28) Godzilla's Revenge
27) Godzilla (1998) - I'm not as hard on it as a lot of other fans are, but its really hard to consider it Godzilla when he's running away from the military, not breathing fire, and giving birth to 200 eggs. The effort was there, and had it not been called Godzilla, I'd have viewed as a fun summer blockbuster. I actually liked the new design. Godzilla only looks the way he does in the Japanese films because its a man in a rubber suit. No dinosaur looks like that. This CGI Godzilla is exactly how I would picture Godzilla if he actualyl existed, so that was fine. Appreciate the effort, but not quite what fans wanted.

That was much harder than I thought. Alot of the middle ones are around the same quality, so it was hard to rank which of those I liked more, and then when we got higher on the list, It became very hard to pick favorites. I'd say about 1 through 15 are the ones that I adore, 16-24 are the middle ground ones that I enjoyed, & 25-29 are the weakest entries.
