Again, I think people are misreading the post. I'm pretty sure he's referring to "Godzilla Vs. Redmoon" needing to be remade as a dark, serious film, though his sentence does read more like "Daigoro Vs, Goliath needs to be remade."
Either way it's hilarious.

If you took all of the kiddie stuff out of the "Godzilla vs. Redmoon" concept, there wouldn't be anything left to adapt into a film.
I'd like to see get made into an actual movie. It'd be cool to have it as a throwback to the '70s in every technical way: filming it with '70s cameras and film stock to give it that distinct aged look, constructing the monster suits to look just like their counterparts from decades ago, using the classic rotoscoping animation for beams and what not instead of CGI, editing it all manually with no digital aid whatsoever, get a straightforward script like Sekizawa would have written, get a plucky cast of actors for the heroes, and use nothing but stock Ifukube music from the Showa era for the score. It would be like a '70s Showa Godzilla film, but made today. The only old-time tradition I wouldn't preserve would be the utilization of stock footage.
