GODZILLA remastered....

Lately I've really been enjoying what some folks have done with the old Star Trek episodes.

Here's a lovin' spoonful if you haven't heard:

Now then, I think it would be pretty cool to see the same kind of love given to a Godzilla movie!!! Just for kicks!

My question is: Which movie would you choose, if you were so inclined, to re-master? And what would you add and/or refine? Myself, since there's ample choice in the showa era (i.e., too easy), would choose Godzilla vs. Biolante.

I freakin' LOVE this flick!!

I'd like to see Godzy blink and roll his eyes around a bit. I would like to see chunks and streams of lava rolling and cascading off of him as he lumbered out of the volcano. I'd like to see some more peeps running around under him during his various raids. Some more dynamic motion with Biolante (just one or two little instances). I really like for some of the water to spray and splash according to G's 80 meter scale (got to love the whole mass and power thing). And let's not forget the Super X 2. I would have her blasting and maneuvering in more interesting angles... clean up some of those matt lines too.

I'd prolly can the whole super x 2 nautical/superhero theme... but now maybe I've gone too far!

Alright. Your turn!

Why would anybody who cared about these classic films and shows want to tamper with them? How is that showing them love?

Or are you one of the three people in the camp that prefers the "special" editions of the Star Wars movies?

Awwww don't be getting all elitist on me now. Just presenting a fun thought experiment and asking folks to use their imagination. Surely that wouldn't compromise how much you care about a movie, would it?

And yeah, I like the special editions of Star Wars. The originals too. Is that hard to conceive?

Why is it one vs the other? Really. Why is it?

No disrespect fellas. I really don't want to see this silly little thread turned into a ridiculous soap box exercise.

Just HAVE FUN!!! F-U-N!

Godzilla doesn't need to be remastered. Part of the appeal is how they were made. Most of the problems come from the storylines of the films.

Apply the technology to the new films yet to be made.
