I found this webpage of a video editior (with resume and all so its not some) crank)
who states he wrote a treatment for this scenario and was actually
backed by Kawakaita but was shot down by Tanaka who killed the idea
because he didnt want a Westerner writing a Godzilla script. The guys
name was Mick Anger and he has the treatment online and the story
behind this situation.

Here is the script Link (its in four parts)
http://www.totaldanger.com/td_pages/god ... illa1.html

Here is the 'story behind the story link'
http://www.totaldanger.com/td_pages/god ... story.html

The rest of the site and info about can be found throughout the site.

Really werid that its never been mentioned before. So let me know
what you guys think.

Thanks
Ian

Jeeze... I guess having an open competition for Godzilla 2 ideas gave them a loop hole around the usual legalities of unsolicited scripts.@_@

Bob Eggleton just seems delighted that Toho thought so much of his ideas, but how did Guy Tucker handle in? That's a far more upsetting scenario, seeing as how he was never paid in anyway for his script submission (I assume...or was Toho giving out free T shirs or something to all those who submitted ideas?).
