Godzilla lives on in Kibakichi!

Okay, not really. Only sounds from the series, which does not include Godzilla. But this weird movie about a samurai who's a werewolf contains MANY sounds from the Godzilla series. The samurai and the other demon beast/humanoid thing he fights both give out many roars from Godzilla's foes. You mostly hear Titanosaurus, King Seesar and Megalon, but you can also hear Angilas at times, and Gorosaurs.

Furthermore, lots of sound bites from the Showa films are in there from the old explosions to the noise made when the guns were fired in DAM. There's more, but it's just kinda surreal in a way.

If you're interested I caught it on The Movie Channel.

Yeah, I have this movie.

Its not very good. Tomoo Haraguchi should stick to doing just special effects cuz his movies aren't that great (Sakuya was kinda fun though).

haha No, not very good at all. I didn't see all of it, but all the Toho sound effects are very distracting from what's actually happening. The action scenes didn't look too terrible though...

Yeah, the (very few) action scenes are OK. And the theme song is pretty damn cool. That's really all the movie has going for it though, so it is sorley lacking.

I have the DVD (hey, it was only $6!) and watched it only once... and for some reason, I feel that it'll always be that way.

There was a Kibakichi 2 that wasn't directed by Haraguchi, but I never bothered with it seeing as how little the first film interested me. Although M1 (I think) made a pretty damn cool Kibakichi vinyl in their kaiju line though!
