Which movie have the best opening credits.


Here is my picks.
1) GvM'64
2) KOTM
3) G85
4) GvB
5) Monster Zero
6) GMK

Hands down the US Godzilla 1985 credits, even if the movie logo shown doesn't exactly match up with the way the slash marks formed the words.


"Godzilla" continually flashing on the screen over explosions in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla is pretty nice too.

The Godzilla '54 credits are appropriately somber.

...oh, and the Godzilla Final Wars credits are cool too, manages to hold you over with Godzilla 'cause he doesn't appear again untill an hour in.

I've heard some people say that the Japanese opening credits to Godzilla vs. Gigan had lasers shooting from different directions forming the credits, but we don't get to see that since Sony did the meaningless (and badly done) reconstructed version of the international credits. It sounds pretty interesting and like it would make the film even more delightfully hillarious.

My favorite has to be the Godzilla 1984 opening. (the american version anyway)
It just looks cool, and the score is beautiful.

2nd would have to be Final Wars, it was just exciting.

and 3rd, would have to be Gojira's. It was simple, and creepy and worked for the film.

Lads, I think we're missing out one obvious and clear contender here: the Japanese opening credits for Godzilla's Revenge.
