There's definitely a Godzilla fan behind the scenes on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. We've seen Rodan and the Godzilla vs. Hedorah text on Colbert and Mothra on Daily Show, and now Kiryu. Stephen was doing the Threat-Down and came to the subject of the Japanese robot that can cook when they showed an image from one of the early GxMG behind-the-scenes pics of Kiryu just standing there. I had the volume on kinda low, but Colbert said something like "No, not that robot".

There was a commercial for The Host during the last commercial break too. Le awesome.

I missed the first airing but saw the rerun. He was saying apparently Japan had learned nothing from Mechagodzilla.

Also worth noting is the fact the robot part began with a picture of Voltron.
