What would most likely be the best entry in the series to introduce someone to Godzilla with, in your opinion?

Mothra vs. Godzilla 64' all the way.

Then, lighten it up with some good old fashion Destroy all Mnsters!

I'd say, as weird as it may sound, GMK or G:FW.

I went with MvsG, like I said.

My girlfriend (I guess I forgot to mention who I was introducing in my previous posts, lol) was a little stereotypical at first, with the mention of the dubbing and "toy tanks" and such. Once we got through it though, she stated that it wasn't nearly as bad as she expected and she definitely didn't "dislike" it.

...lol

Oh well. She'd better get used to watching them, anyway. It's going to be happening more often. LOL

I want to introduce my gf to Godzilla eventually too, but up to this point she has shown no interest at all. I'll keep working on it I guess. I kind of want to show her G 54' first, but Mothra vs. Godzilla might be cool too. Biollante is one of my favorites, but I don't think she'd like it.

When the original "Gojira" played in Houston not so long ago, some of the audience members seemed visibly confused that the Japanese voices were synced with the mouths. Then again, the same people found it hilarious that a movie made in the 1950s would feature airplanes from the 1950s.

Now that the original flick is commonly available on CD, it can be recommended as the logical "first timer" G-film. Despite excesses during the series' long history, Godzilla is by no means just comic.
