All this stuff is proof of how many stupid people there are. Especially ones who take their own way out schemas and meld them onto somebody who isn't around to defend themselves.
Morons who over analyze movies alway do this as do college professors especially. And don't get me started on Tetsui. That hogey-slurping moron teaches at KU(close to where I live) and I've met the guy. Not only is he ocassionally factually inanncurate when it comes to Goji, he also tries to splice his opinion as fact onto an unknowing audience. The tired, fake anti american angle(which unfortunately has been given life w/the recent g54 DVD release) always reveals more about the author than Honda and company. And as the JonBennet killer case proved, the media rushes to get a headline without often checking the facts. So enjoy the movies for what they are/intended to be-entertainment.

I definately think most of the people who see these anti-American biases are really looking for a way to justify their own anti-Japanese feelings. This is like those retards that didn't like Godzilla VS. King Ghidorah. I've watched Mysterians of course, and it never entered my mind that the Mysterians represented the Americans. Besides the fact, even if they were anti-American,it would be the filmmaker's own opinion, which he's allowed to have. The fact that we happen to enjoy them doesn't override the fact that they're made by/for Japanese citizens.

people will see what they look for in movies- the way kids dress, gays in MEGALON, etc. always says more about the viewers than the movies.
