Can it be said - Rodan killed Godzilla?

To have a little fun, i put this to you:

In vs MechaGodzilla (93), FireRodan as his final act gave up his life energy to restore Godzilla's brain so he could continue to fight off his mechanical self for the baby. As seen in the movie, after that occurred his atomic ray became an orange red. Now, we can loosely tie this red colored ray to Godzilla's "overheating problem" which ultimately lead to his death since he only attained it after the 'meld' with Rodan. (Forgive me if i don't remember what color the ray was throughout vs SpaceGodzilla, i haven't seen it in a LONG time. I just thought i remember it was red) Using that logic, can it be said that the meld with Rodan is what caused his nuclear heart to begin melting down?

I just thought it an interesting theory. Now of course, some of you might have inside information which could possiby destroy all the neat viewpoints i had hoped to see.

Godzilla's radiation overdose in Godzilla vs. Destroyer wasn't caused by Rodan's sacrifice. It was caused by a uranium deposit under Birth Island that detonated. That's what caused the island to disappear at the beginning of the movie, what overloaded Godzilla's body with radiation, and what accelerated Godzilla Junior's growth rate.

Also, Godzilla's atomic fire ray was blue throughout Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla, but he summoned up his deepest energy at the end of the movie to use his Death Ray (official term for it) to kill Spacegodzilla.

Actually, it was SpaceGodzilla that did the Big G in.

His crystals on Birth Island were the cause of the island's ultimate destruction and overwhelming radioactive meltdown, thusly overdosing Godzilla with nuclear power.

Or at least that's what I remember reading somewhere...

lol

Jesus bleepin' Christ. You can't have fun with ANY damn thing can you?

I said it was for FUN. Do you know what 'fun' is? Can't you just play hypothetical for the helluv it? I mean, we know how it's supposed to be (we watched the film). How 'bout tryin' to look at it from a different point of view.

Thank God people like you don't discover anything.

I think that goofy American scientist in DESTROYA made it clear: "The problem is here, inside Godzilla's heart!" In other words "It was beauty that killed the beast!":P

When/where did Toho state that Godzilla's red heat ray was called the death ray?
