I think I have to abstain from this one. Sea Monster is my #1 childhood favorite, but G'54 is - well, G'54. It's technically higher on my favorites list than Sea Monster, but like Jellydonut, I'd usually be more inclined to watch Sea Monster.

Uhff. Possibly the best film in the series (though not quite my personal favorite) versus the film that started my Godzilla obsession...

I feel like I should vote for Mothra, it has everything that became truly iconic of the series, and it arguably does it all better than any other film in the franchise.

But I have a very strong urge to vote for G:KotM. It is the first Godzilla movie I saw and I was absolutely HOOKED from the moment he peeps over the mountain (it was already going well before that scene, but that sealed the deal for me). And it is the film that made Godzilla an international star.

I think I'm gonna let this sit for a bit and come back later with my vote... I just can't decide yet.

Mothra vs. Godzilla. It's my favorite G-flick, there's really no debate for me on this one.

Ah heck. I'm gonna let nostalgia rule this one again for me and vote Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Good as Mothra is, I vastly prefer the other 1964 film. Plus I have very little nostalgia for it because it was one of the harder films for me to find as a kid. I did find it at another blockbuster across town, so I did get to see it as a kid, but it wasn't at MY local blockbuster so I only remember seeing it once until it finally aired on TNT monstervision and I recorded it. But King of the Monsters was one of my regular go-to films.

And it would've been a shame for G:KotM to go down without a single vote!

Although I think KotM is a good movie that gets more flack than it deserves sometimes, Mothra vs Godzilla is practically the be-all, end-all of Godzilla films, in my humble eyes.
Mothra vs. Godzilla gets my vote; no contest here.

Godzilla vs. The Thing is my second favorite Godzilla movie. And even if it weren't, I'd still vote for it because a Godzilla ('54) vs. Godzilla, King of the Monsters! quarterfinal would be a mistake.
