Yup, that's Yog!

Ahhhh, for some reason, I thought I had a tough one. Yup. It's Space Amoeba. (aka Yog: Monster from Space) To me, a semi favorite Toho kaiju movie, but definitely not as good as some of the other (non Godzilla) Toho kaiju movies I watched as a kid. I do remember it having a pretty good AIP english dub. (unlike the Toho International dub) For some reason though, the thing that I remember most from this movie is that guy Riko and his cross eyed look.

Mmmmm, lunch time.

There were a couple of shots where it looked like the top of Gezora's head was gonna fall off. Here's one of them.




Here's that look that Riko had for like half of the movie. I don't why from the time I was a kid to this very day that when someone mentions this movie, THIS is what I remember most from it.

Hmm, I genuinely don't know but something makes me think 90's. But it looks too detailed to be a 90's Godzilla movie. Gamera: Guardian of the Universe?

Yup. Godzilla 1985.

Wire alert! Look real closely and you can see the wire leading into the water that the crashing model jet is attached to.


More holes. Looking at these images reminds me how great a job they did on this Godzilla suit. Probably one of the more underrated Godzilla suits and still one of my favorites.




Here you can see the explosives that they placed on the Godzilla suit. See the two bumps on him? One on his neck, the other on the side of his head, one on his shoulder and the other on his chest.
