This Bob Gruen photo was taken during Kiss' 1978 "Alive II Tour", in which they played five sold-out shows at Budokan Hall in Tokyo (breaking their own record of four the previous year).

This is the art for a DESTROY ALL MONSTERS (obviously) story book and record set. I imagine that the artist liked Varan from the reference photos he was working with.

Thanks Norman. Those pics are hilarious. And yeah, that hat looks silly.

Now that we're seen the GMK suit next to a man, we can see how big it is. How heavy is it compared to the other suits? That thing can't be very comfy.
