In one of the King Kong vs Godzilla reissue trailers there is a weird scene.

Kong is sitting down in the forest (thats ablaze) and slams what looks like Godzilla's severed tail against the ground.

Then it suddenly cuts to stock footage of the tanks firing at Godzilla from the arctic base attack from early in the film

And then you see Kong getting pelted by the tank fire!

Go figure.

Its shots like those I didn't really bother posting. Yeah their unused an all but you can completely understand why Tsuburaya cut them out.
