There were parts of the '74 and '75 films where Mechagodzilla bent unrealistically, but they were still a far cry better than the sloppy work Toho did in 1973. That being said, it wouldn't be until 1993 that we got to watch a Mechagodzilla that actually looked metallic, had sound effects for its joints moving, and moved the way a giant robot would. Kiryu was also pretty good, though it moved way too fast for a robot, and I hate that part where it flies into Godzilla and stops immediately.

MG 93 didn't actually DO any physical fighting with Godzilla then. mostly it was a tank in Godzilla form. wait, how unrealistic is that? :lol:

This happened over and over (and over and over) again at Toho Kingdom. the_candidate is right and you guys are wrong, or so he believes. This won't end until this thread gets locked. He won't listen to anyone and he will drag down the discussion of every single thread he posts in. His shtick is taking a royal crap all over whatever films he wants to while tearing you to pieces if you dare think about being critical of the Heisei series. Keep in mind this is the guy who has told August Ragone that he doesn't know what he's talking about. The only reason to keep responding here is if you want to get frustrated enough to punch a hole in your computer monitor.

I love that "no Showa character is as interesting as Gondo" statement. Worth noting is that the poster in question here confessed recently on TK that he hasn't watched 90% of the Showa series in about 13 years, and the Heisei series in 10.
