A couple of days ago I had a hankerin' to watch GMK. I'm always eager to gain more appreciation for the film, which to me is not "the greatest," but is definitely well-made and a high-class Godzilla film (or film in general, for that matter).
Anyways, I watched the Sony DVD on my PC with headphones, and James Ballard's alternative subtitle script. What would have been a long, boring night with nothing to do ended up being a couple of hours well-spent.

Two nights ago I watched the Sony R1 of Tokyo SOS on my computer with headphones and the TokyoMonsters.com subtitle track. I LOVE Tokyo SOS! I love the story and its Showa connections!
Plus, last night, I watched GMK again, with the same set-up as above, 'cause it's definitely one of those films that benefits from multiple viewings, and I had a nagging feeling all day that I needed to see it again. It's not on my list of personal faves, but it's sure a darn good flick.
...and just to set the record straight, I do have a life; I don't normally sit on my butt and watch Godzilla movies all day, but alas, it's summer, and it passes the time.
I love the story and its Showa connections!
