I agree that Final Wars is better than Kill Bill. QT just rehashes old stuff,whereas Kitamura injects it with his own offbeat style (or lack of).

Like I just said,I like Kill Bill,but it just copies other movies. Final Wars is more like a bizarre tongue-in-cheek homage to other movies.

Fun fact: The CGI crew of the Pirates of the Caribbean films used the appearance of Odako in King Kong vs. Godzilla as a point of reference in how they animated the Kraken.

I realize this thread is all old and stuff but I figured it was the appropriate place to mention that (unsurprisingly) Quentin Tarantino put War of the Gargantuas, Godzilla vs. The Thing and Monster Zero on his list of the 50 best sequels of all time in the new issue of Video Watchdog.

Yeah, the problem starts when the person INSISTS that I am WRONG to gently correct them and that there IS a Godzilla vs. Rodan or a Godzilla vs. Gamera. At that point you're not a casual fan, you're an idiot. :lol:
