Gamera's Robotic Girlfriend (?!?!)

Well, I was pretty much the first person to make mentioned of the 1999 manga (Japanese comic book) remake of "Gamera vs. Barugon" (though it was our own Lord Baragi who really brought the subject further into the spotlight with his many scans from it)...now its time to introduce an equally obscure, if not far more bizarre character in the Gamera franchise. I was going through one of my issues of the Japanese fantasy magazine Uchusen and noticed an add I never really paid much attention to. Uchusen deals with live action effects films, or Tokusatsu all the time and it ranges from the major icons like Godzilla, Toho, and Ultraman to the lesser known, like obscure 1970s superheroes, fan films from Japan and even (unfortunately) adult spoofs of all the above. Luckily it seems that the add in question was not the latter, but does feature a sailor moon style robot girl superhero hanging out with a rather well known giant flying turtle.

Now I'm not just posting this article to gloat, in fact the main purpose is to learn more, in my never ending search for obscure kaiju info...and its not everyday a big name like Gamera makes an appearance in some robot heroine's DVD. Posting these kinds of questions on forums have also been the best plan of action before, but also its a way to share these amusing and odd tidbits with the rest of you.

Major thanks in advance to those that do come up with some answers and I hope the rest of you have enjoyed it in anyway,

Hmm, according to Chris Grymr (don't think I spelled that right), Gammy had a thing for Mie Hama (and what right male G-fan didn't?!?!)
