Things that have been pointed out to add in other forums:

Well, Irys did crucify Gamera, forcing him to make a sacrifice to save the world, and his worthless adversary entombed within Irys.

Uhh..I'm not sure on this...

Gamera's rescue of Ayana through all suffering even when she hates him?

*as in Jesus's death to save us*

I'm not saying Christian symbolism was in the creators' intent, but one must see all the similarities that G3 and the religion share.
