Guiron: Mecha or Meaty?

My brother and I both recently picked up the 14" crane prize Guiron, and over the weekend his wife and my girlfriend asked why exactly we wanted something like that laying around our respective houses. While trying to explain to them merits of the regal creature, my brother said that Guiron was actually a robot built to look like a kaiju. I don't remember that to be the case, but I haven't seen "Attack of the Monsters" in non-MST3K format since I was about seven. Toho Kingdom didn't have anything on him and Rodan's Roost didn't mention him being a mech, but does anyone actually remember what they said in the movie?

There is no mention of him being a robot at all. He doesn't look like one to me, anyway.

Guiron's definitely a living being. He gets hurt when he's stuck with his own shurikens.

He looked pretty meaty after he was blown in half.

maybe is just like Gigan, a living being with artificial parts, not exactly a cyborg, just the knife and the shirukens, all off him is 100% meat

I can only go by what was presented in the movie. And they played it as if Guiron were just a native of Terra. And truthfully, this is the first time ever that anyone has questioned whether or not Guiron is a cyborg/mecha or not.

He's not a cyborg. He's not a mecha.
