It's a quite enjoyable movie. An eville female monster and kids that are pretty cool (I would have been friends with them!) miniature subs- what more could you want? I have one of those re-dubbed letterboxed copies already, but will still buy this one since it's the way I saw it as a kid.
It's about 98 times better than MONSTER SUPER GAMERA.

If this was paired with anything but Gappa, it would be a must buy, regardless of the quality, however, since I already own a really nice copy of Gappa, I'll probably wait for a possible Alpha release. It is definitely one of the better Showa Gamera's though....

I just watched this and really enjoyed it. Sure, the print was faded, but it is very watchable. I think I did notice some interesting explosions though.

Megalo, I was making a good-natured jibe at you for referring to the eight Gamera film as "MONSTER SUPER GAMERA", which I have no idea why you do, as you do it frequently.

Just purchased a 4 pack with Gamera v Monster X, Gamera v Zigra, Gamera v Gayos and Gappa.....for ten bucks. I didn't get them to have the spiffiest most extra laden copies, just so I can add them to my Kaiju collection at a low price.
Besides, asking too much from Showa Gamera is again....asking too much. Just let it be fun!
