Gamera is really neat, He is filled with turtle meat....and it's killing me to attempt to watch all of his older films as back-to-back-to back as I've been to make sure these blu-rays work. My sense of irony can go on for a solid 90 minutes...but day after day after day? I swear, I'm beginning to forget what real movies even look like.

Zigra's marginally cool in appearance I guess but I dunno. I guess I liked it better than Viras? Who knows...

This is probably my least favorite Japanese giant monster movie. Wikipedia (in an article that's almost as bad as the film) lists its runtime as 87 minutes. It feels like it's 100 hours long. I was on a bit of a Gamera info kick recently and finally watched the August Ragone Shout Factory! segments on YouTube, so I now have a better understanding of why this movie wound up the way it did, but ... yikes.

The kindest thing I can say about it is that Shunsuke Kikuchi did the score.
