Many would say Gyaos, but I'll take quality over quantity......... :eek2:

If you mean an archnemesis in the sense of who his most prominent enemy is, it would have to be Gyaos. It's the only foe Gamera has fought in multiple movies, being the only Showa era enemy brought back for the Heisei trilogy and even again in the forgettable 2006 film.

But as for a foil character, I wouldn't say Gamera really has one. A foil is a character which mirrors traits of the main character. I guess the closest would again be Gyaos, as both he and Gamera are aerial combatants and fire a projectile weapon from their mouths, but that's really where the similarities end.

And on that note, while King Ghidorah is definitely Godzilla's archnemesis, he's not his foil either. That'd have to be Mechagodzilla.

Same with me, first that came to mind was Gyaos. If we were going with Hesei though, I would have to say Irys

I really don't Know but like everyone Else I will have to say Gaos. i don't know but every where I go I will always see a Gamera toy with a Gaos next to it. You just don't really see anyother monster next to gamera from his movies. Heck I am starting to see Gamera from Gamer little braves more now.

I would have prefered Guiron...Barugon is cool and all, but his design is kind of weak and he doesn't really have a personality. Guiron has a rockin design and a personality that would have made for a difficult, but cool partner for Gamera.
