BTW, just to add my two cents to this, I don't dislike what Tezuka-san did in GXMG or Tokyo S.O.S., but I wasn't exactly thrilled by it either. Both movies were so-so in my opinion, but were still better then the dismal "G2K" and "Megaguirus".
I haven't seen GFW, but from what I've seen(
and I think I've seen about half the movie through previews, specials, and clips) it's fast-paced and all action....
Kitamura tried to put a new spin on things, while Tezuka tried to revive the Heisei formula while fueling a new stand-alone feel for the millenium saga.
"Gamera" will no doubt take advantage of the new-age bandwagon, and for some strange reason, I feel that a "Gamera 2000" movie isn't too far behind.....Let's hope they can make more sense of it than the creators of the game ever did.
