Gamera 3 sucks

Spinning flame-jetted turtles, space birds being chopped up like bologna, kids in shorts screaming for help...the original Gamera series was a strange mix of wacky fun!! The 90's Gamera films set a standard that other kaiju films are measured against! Discuss Gamera films here!!

I have yet to see Gamera 3. I have watched Gamera 1 & 2. I may need to take a trip to the mall to find these movies on DVD since the stores at my little burg do not sell cult movies.

I enjoy monster movies, especially Godzilla and Gamera. I thought that this third installment of Gamera is a huge improvement. The special effects during the fight scenes, and their view from a person's prospective, are excellent for a japanese monster movie and better than Godzilla 2000, however still not quite up to the American standards. My major complaint is regarding the acting and overall plot which it just does not seem to change much from movie to movie and they are mediocre at best. Also the dubbing to english is not that great either. The dvd picture quality is very good and the sound is good as well. Overall: FAIR.

I can't see why the IMDB and retailers bother soliciting these so-called "reviews" in the first place. The former is supposed to be a reference, not a playground for semi-literate fanboys who think they can be the next Roger Ebert, Joe Bob Briggs or whoever. As for the places that want to SELL movies, do you seriously think people are going to buy them with comments like the example given all over their site? Bad enough one has to weed through the clutter of advertising on about any product so who really needs this drivel?
Got questions, ask a knowledgeable fan on a good fan site.

Well the fan may be biased. Like star wars fans who think SWPM is a good movie.

So we are all at fault here! :D But back to the topic here... G3 is an awsome movie, and I also wrote a review for Amazon. Look for Gamera 3: a Roy Meredith Review.
