Personally I'd welcome the return of Barugon with open arms (perhaps ditching the rainbow). I always loved that freezing ability (to early in the morning, I've forgotten the word!) on the tip of his tongue. With Gamera in the mix it made a nice "Fire vs. Ice" scenario.

If it ain´t broke don´t fix it. The trilogy had so many cool ideas in it I don´t see why the makers should take the (IMO) rather lame approach of reinventing the whole mythos over and over again. The ending of G3 could easily be integrated into G4.
I´d love to see a G4 - but not with Gyaos as a main opponent. I´d like a new or updated nemesis and a bigger budget so we can see more and better Kaiju action, without sacrificing the deeper plot elements that have characterised this excellent series.

It DOES mention Kaneko, Mr. Negativity -- check it out, the last paragraph says:
