I don't really hate on the monsters that crawl on their knees. I grew up seeing them do it, so I'm pretty much used to it. Yeah, it may not be anatomically correct, or anything, but at the time, it was probably the easiest way for the suit actor to convey a quadrupedal creature on-screen. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of those quirks that makes these movies even more unique!
