Who is the baseball player? Is it Hidaki Matsui? If so, thats an interesting Godzilla reference!

Not that I'm a baseball fan, but I googled for the kanji in the headline, and it appears that Daiei did avoid to feature "Godzilla" in Gamera, and did instead bring in a certain Mr Koji Akiyama.
