A SCIFI JAPAN EXCLUSIVE
Toho Co., Ltd. has provided SciFi Japan with information and high-res photo from the new movie LOVE ME, LOVE ME NOT (思い、思われ、ふり、ふられ, Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare). This feature film sequel to STROBE EDGE (ストロボ・エッジ, Sutorobo Ejji) and BLUE SPRING RIDE (アオハライド, Aoharaido, 2014) completes the live-action adaptations of Io Sakisaka’s same-named girls’ comic trilogy. The movie is directed by romance film maestro Takahiro Miki (YELL FOR THE BLUE SKY, MY TOMORROW, YOUR YESTERDAY, FORTUNA’S EYE).
LOVE ME, LOVE ME NOT will open in Japanese cinemas on August 14th. An anime film adaptation will be released by Toho in September.
STORY
Akari (Minami Hamabe), Rio (Takumi Kitamura), Yuna (Riko Fukumoto) and Kazuomi (Eiji Akaso) are all in their first year at the same high school and live in the same apartment building. Rio can’t ask Akari out since their parents’ marriage has turned them into brother and sister, and the others have their own secret crushes too. But, one of them makes a declaration of love, which creates a complex tangle of emotions.
