Considering Amazon employees went on strike yesterday, you might be waiting longer than a month.

Just certain areas went on strike, the only place that went on strike was a warehouse in Wisconsin

Charade is great. I wanted to pick up Notorious, but my B&N is out and I'm not driving across town to another one.

Right Stuf has a pretty good sale at the moment. Picked up both sets of Gundam Age & Gundam IBO Season 2 sets. Now, I believe I have every Gundam Series released in North America in one form or another, aside from the Build and SD series, which I don't consider *true* Gundam series.

Picked up a few things recently. First up from Sentai Filmworks recent sale is Casshan: The Complete Original TV series (blu-ray, $9) and Armored Trooper VOTOMS: TV Collection (SD on blu-ray, $20).

Next is Dune (blu-ray, $6 and change), I've waited on buying the blu-ray hoping that Universal might announce a newer BD release but no news yet. Still hoping for news of a new release with extras and things like the Alan Smithee cut in HD.

I made the trip out to Big Lots hoping the store might have gotten in the Planet of the Apes: Legacy Collection on blu-ray; no luck there (either the store never got them in or they were bought up fast). I did find a copy of Fort Apache and a Chinese historical movie called Last Supper that looked interesting.

Aside from 0080 and the second volumes to Origin and Thunderbolts, I pretty much have all of the Gundam series I need to own.

If I decide to just own them all, then I'll pick up G, Wing, IBO, Recon, and probably Age. Oh god, if you have not seen Age, brace yourself for one of the worst anime series ever produced. It makes Destiny look like a masterpiece.

Age is neither my favorite, nor most hated. But it was a great price. Yes I remember how much you hated it when you watched it last time.

Kain once you get a few episodes in let me know if that set is worth picking up. I does look interesting.

I myself will be picking up Detective Pikachu and Hellboy (2019) on 4K on Tuesday. Even though Hellboy is bad I still got some enjoyment out of it and I didn't get a chance to see Detective Pikachu while it was in theater so I'm really excited for that.

^ Oh, man - I've got to pick up that new Hellboy movie, too. I really don't like it, but I own every bit of Hellboy media released, except for the games, so I can't stop now!

^ Yeah, think I'll pick up that one for, as you say, the Mignola art.

Right now I'm binging on British sci-fi and tokusatsu!

Is that a Discotek release of X-Bomber/Star Fleet in SD on BD? Wow, I didn't know there was a US release of the show.

I don't remember watching the show as a kid, I'm pretty sure I would have been a regular watcher if I had. I first remember seeing clips many years ago, maybe an episode or two along the way -- the combination of a super robot genre with supermarionation techniques is fascinating. I think I may have to pick up a copy sometime.

I've never seen X-Bomber/Star Fleet myself but apparently it was dubbed by the same people that did Sandy Frank's versions of Gamera, Zigra, and the four "feature films" from Tsuburaya Pro series. http://forrestcrow.proboards.com/thread ... roductions

I had no idea it was on Blu-ray here so I may look into that.

They released the DVD with just the English language Star Fleet version like 2 years ago, and just a few months ago they released the SD Blu-ray featuring both the English language and original Japanese version.

I've been watching it all evening switching from one version to another between episodes. Can't decide which version I prefer. I think I like the heroes a bit better in the English version and the villains better in the Japanese version (the baddies have cooler names in the original language as well, and for the dub they decided to give them 'ethnic' voices with your kind of cringey).

The robot only appears sporadically, at least in the early episodes. It's mostly a starship to starship naval-esque battle series like Yamato or Captain Harlock.

Got these today:

Since I'm nearly done with the original Twilight Zone series I decided to pick up the 80s series on DVD (not BD). I've discovered why it was so cheap though ($25), they crammed like 11-12 episodes on some of the discs. That's insane and that means they must look like shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

As for Immortal and Baron whateveritscalled, they're from a friend who wants me to review them on my channel. Though, for some reason he got me a Region B version of Baron, so I doubt I'm going to be able to watch it.

Went to the local Best Buy today to possible get the new Note 10+ 5G but they didn't have any deals worthwhile so instead I got It Chapter 1 on 4K as well as Hellboy 2: The Golden Army on 4K. Going to rewatch It either tonight or tomorrow in preparation for when I see Chapter 2 later this week.

^^ Baron Munchausen is worth a watch. Not familiar with Immortal.

I remember having the 90s Twilight Zone television special on recorded VHS and watching Where the Dead Are, over and over. I wouldnt mind seeing that again
