Why would they put a hold on the funds when it doesn't come out for another month?

To ensure that the buyer will actually be buying it and not stick the store with inventory they don't want, don't need, and won't sell. At least that's my guess.

I'd say don't wait on Orb. It's absolutely fantastic and my second favorite Ultra show right now.
Thanks for the correction. I thought I had it backwards after I posted, but wasn't sure.
BTW, I'm a little ticked off at Best Buy right now. They canceled my preorder for Ultra Seven because they couldn't charge my card for it. WTF are they trying to charge my card for something that doesn't even come out for another month?

I just started a seasonal job at gamestop and how I understood the quick rundown of how pre-orders worked is thus: We take pre-orders. The more we get, the more corporate will ship to us. Not that we will get all to fulfill ALL pre-orders day one. Our district will only gets so many but more pre-orders means that our store could get more of that split than other stores.
So your hold could be apart of something like that.
If it's a charge of $1 or something, which a lot of places do that, and they can't get that small holding charge they just assume you won't/can't be able to pay for the item and canceled the hold.

I’m at work and can’t reference a specific instance, but I’ve noticed several times where the whole image kinda seems to shake up and down vertically. It kinda looks like excessive gateweave, but it’s in the wrong direction and it almost looks like some kind of digital artifact/issue as opposed to a mechanical problem with the film source. Does anyone else see this?

This was my first time watching the series in its entirety in a row and I have to say the series holds up. Its a little silly in the beginning but as the show goes on it picks up some steam and just keeps getting better and better. There are some seriously heavy episodes and now I think I finally see what all the fuss is about this show. Some of the cinematography in the later episodes gets really inventive and experiemental. I also just completed the first disc of Ultra Q and this is an interesting show as well. I plan on giving my 2 cents once I marathon that collection but so far I am digging it.
