THese fan theories are always its a dream, they were in a coma or they were dead/dying. Maybe if they were to come up with something original like each simpson's episode is its own alternate universe timeline where they eventually crossover.

At one point I loved this show so dearly you'd never ever have been able to convince me that there'd come a time where I wouldn't watch it.

But aside from usually watching some Halloween episodes every year, I almost never watch The Simpsons anymore. Not even the DVDs I have. I still love those old episodes, but I dunno, maybe I just need some time away from them, maybe it's got something to do with it STILL running...like, yeah the old stuff exists and is awesome but for some reason nobody is satisfied with that old stuff and they're cranking out new crap...I dunno.

I kinda can't wait for the show to end at this point. A series finale feels like the only thing that could get me to watch the show one more time, and would probably kickstart me into revisiting old stuff nostalgically.

The Simpsons is money-making, worldwide brand, and nothing keeps the brand going more like new product - even if everyone knows it's a shell of its former self.

I've barely watched anything these past two seasons because after doing a marathon of all 508 episodes that had aired at the time in the Summer of 2012, I came to despise what happened to the show. The THoH episodes aren't even Halloween/Horror themed stories anymore.

As for the whole Homer in a coma thing, that is just so down right stupid.

ok...so I'll admit, the show has been bad for years, but I still watch it. I feel obligated to watch until the bitter end.... Also I know being that the show has been on for 28 years (season 29 just started Sunday...but I missed it D'oh!), the Simpsons has oddly, seemingly predicted a lot of things, but when you have 620 episodes and counting, that's bound to happen...

I'm not one of those weird theorists however I did find this odd that one of my favorite episodes (S9E05 The Cartridge Family) has themes relevant for Today 1- Gun Laws (Yes I know this always is a hot button topic any time there is a massive tragedy like what occurred in Las Vegas)..but the kicker is...you add in Tom Petty, who's song "The Waiting" features in the episode, which aired 11/2/97 (just one month short of 20 years ago...) . Predicted, No, but unique and unusual, absolutely.

The season premier was god damn f***ing awful. I didn't laugh a single time. I almost laughed at the part where the Ents appeared and then they were turned into ladders, but then it kept going. The stuff with Krusty was utterly disgusting and not in a funny kind of way.

What was this even supposed to do? It felt more like the writers were showing their love to the fantasy genre rather than actually satirizing it. What the f***ing hell was this?

I usually hate it when someone compares The Simpsons and South Park, but this is the only time I will ever say South Park did a vastly superior fantasy spoof because they actually made fun of the genre while showing their love for it. UGH!!! Excuse me while I go rinse my mouth out.

I blazed through the first 3 episodes last night.

Yeah, the first was pretty bad. I guess if I was more into magic/Fantasy titles I'd probably think it was hilarious. I've never watched a single episode of GoT, never seen Harry Potter etc... I did get some of the LotR references, and seeing Toothless' head from HttYD was a little sad on the tavern wall. The Aslan running joke was a little mean spirited...but whatever

The other episodes were just meh...The one where Lisa and Marge developed a comic together almost had some funny moments, but , yeah it just seems flat. Its kind of sad that there was a time where every episode could make me laugh. now I may get 2-3 laughs in a whole 22 episode season. I think they are just trying to get to season 30 for the sake of saying they did it, and be done. This was my favorite show, and I'm glad it had such longevity, but when it goes, I don't think anyone will be petitioning to bring it back.

I just purchased season 18 on DVD (was released in December). I am surprised, as I have not seen these in years, and they are actually quite funny, not S1-10 funny, but miles ahead of what we are getting currently.

Hindsight is a pain in the butt...I just sold all my Simpsons DVD & BRD because I figured #1-Fox will never get around to releasing them all & 2, they will always be available. Of course this is ME the champion of physical media we are talking about, and even I gave up on it. Now THIS happens, and of course, this means its being pulled from all Syndication broadcasts, not sure about digital services like Vudu & Amazon, but of course, season 3 dvd's are now selling like hotcakes on the secondary market because of this announcement. I probably got around $5-$8 for my set, but I didn't care because of how common it was....yeesh...

It's complete and utter bullshit that instead of letting adults choose if they want to watch the episode or not, they're just pulling it altogether so there is no choice. Honestly though, this is nothing but a bs move to get The Simpsons into headlines and media attention due to the show's irrelevency. If they really cared about Michael Jackson being a pedophile, not only would they have removed the episode 20 years ago when the allegations first came out, but they wouldn't have brought Leon Kompowski back last season for a scene and redo the birthday song.

Not to mention doing this means they better pull A Streetcar Named Marge, The City of New York vs Homer Simpson, Bart vs Australia, and every episode that features Luigi, Apu, Cletus, Willie, Comic Book Guy, and Bumblebee Man.

Well, based on all the hullabaloo last year with Apu, Unfortunately that day may be coming sooner than later. But then I guess they can make a ton more money, releasing dvd sets with the episodes omitted, then, after fan outrage, new ones yet again, with the episodes restored, and a Whoopi Goldberg PSA at the beginning...

‘The Simpsons’ Are Moving to Disney+, With the First 30 Seasons Available on Day One

I've got the DVDs to the seasons that matter, however, is Disney+ going to include Stark Raving Dad? That's all I want to know.

One would think, it would, since its not a rerun broadcast, but rather one's individual choice to watch if they wanted to. It's kind of how people are wondering *if* they are going to finally include Song of the South, since it supposedly is going to contain Disney's *Entire film Library*

Well I took the plunge and subscribed to Disney + Last Night. There is a ton of great content on there, but while everyone seems to be complaining about the Aspect ratios of the Simpsons 1-19 (and the first half of 20). The big news, one would think, is the Absence of S3E1 Stark Raving Dad. Disney seems to have no consistency here. For some of their older movies which contain scenes which may be offensive to some, they are left in tact, just with a message/disclaimer in the description. Why do this for some shows/movies, and not for all?
