Ken Watanabe reveals a pretty big spoiler. I watched because a 30 second ad with a touch of rap music couldn't ruin the movie for me.

So if you watch a lot of TV, you might want to wear ear plugs. I mean, in my opinion it is a pretty big spoiler. Kind of. Depending on how you look at it.

I hope that doesn't "ruin" the movie for me but I can say it's something I'd rather have learned from watching it for the first time instead. I guess that's my clue that I should start actively avoiding pre-release hype.

There've been like 5 TV ads and two full-length trailers and possibly another full-length trailer coming and apparently like 5-10 minutes of the movie shown at WonderCon.

Are they determined to just give away like 40 minutes of the movie before it's even out?

^ I feel like there's been complaints in the past couple of years that audiences were disappointed when films didn't line up with their expectations given the trailers, so the solution has been just put the entire movie in the trailers so the audience would know exactly what they were in for!

And yet I also remember the big complaint in 2014: "If you watched all the trailers, you've seen all the scenes that have Godzilla. There are no surprises."

And here we are just a scant 5 years later and everyone is gobbling down all these trailers. Can't wait to hear, "If you watched the 47 minutes of teasers and trailers and saw all the screenshots and everything there's nothing new in the movie."

Trailers may be showing a lot, but it may also mean there is just a ton of monster action.

I don't feel like the G2014 trailers gave away too much.. we barely saw any Goji vs. Muto scenes, and they didn't show G using his breath or the "kiss of death."

With GKotM I am getting nervous with each TV spot... It's hard not to watch though. This movie looks AMAZING.

Yeah I'm not watching any of these TV spots that have apparently gone up in the last day or two. I've watched others, but I don't need to see every single piece of footage they put out. Not reading the descriptions of the Wondercon footage either. Like jelly said, I'd still like to leave something (hopefully a lot) for the actual film itself.

I don't go out of my way to seek trailers or TV spots, but most of the time, they are just there. Thankfully I'm not someone who's effected by spoilers. I'm still excited about this film. I've heard some people say that what has been shown has actually generated interest on some segment of the general movie going audience so it appears to be having the desired effect. All I can say is, we've had 2 Monsterverse entries so far. I didn't think Godzilla 2014 was as bad as some people, and I definitely enjoyed Kong Skull Island. So as long as it tracks closer to that, or even *hopefully* exceeds it, in terms of sheer enjoyment, that's all I'm asking.

I've only seen a scant of these images and pretty much avoiding everything else. However, from these images, there is one thing that is worrying me - no broad daylight shots!

So far, everything I've seen is in the night, in smoke or cloud cover. The one criticism I had about "Godzilla 2014", was that some scenes were just too dark, that it was hard to make out what was happening. And one of the reasons why I LOVED "Kong: Skull Island", was that virtually all of the action took place in broad daylight. Ditto with the majority of the classic Showa features. Of course, if this movie is compelling enough, then I probably would not care one way or the other.

I've read the leaks (If they are even basically accurate) ...Seen all the trailers and TV spots. It's really only exposed glimpses of scenes. There is so much left to see.

I've only seen 30 seconds of footage and have heard all the rumors and read a couple spoilers. I refrain from looking at more footage.

I have to say it has been nice not constantly thinking about a movie for years before it comes out. My subconscious is excited but I don't feel like dwelling on my hobbies like I used to when I was younger. It also sets me up to be disappointed constantly thinking about the movie.

I will say the movie does look dark as hell but lets hope that is just the youtube compression.

I'm not gonna watch that clip (basically because of this reason) but I wouldn't put overmuch stock in footage taken from someone's cell phone in a theater that was probably blowing out the mic on their iPhone as they were also trying to hide it in their coat pocket so they wouldn't get seen recording as to the sound effects of the movie.
Remember when the stuff for The Dark Knight Rises leaked? Everyone was like "ZOMG That Bane voice is TERRIBLE! You can't understand a SINGLE WORD HE SAYS!" and then we saw the movie and we were all like "Oh wait. There was like a line or two I didn't catch, but it was fine."

I watched it and it was glorious it was magnificent I cannot wait to see this sucker on IMAX

There are higher quality sources now. I do agree that King Ghidorah is missing some volume. However, he has a classic cackle (Showa style) on an exhale, so there's good reference.
