I'm not touching another video game at all until I 100% RDR2 after it comes out next month. No Spider-Man, no Tomb Raider, nothing until then.

I just grabbed Dragonball Fighter Z cuz (a) it was cheap and (b) I'd read a lot about how easy the controls are to pick up.

I'm overall happy but...it's WAY more difficult than I was expecting. I've been taking a serious drubbing...by the computer...

Taking a break from RDR2 because they need to fix some stuff so I'm back on Assassin's Creed Odyssey which is by far the best AC game to date. After I finish that I'm moving on to Pokémon Lets Go Eevee, those two games right there should last me until RE2 remake comes out next month.

I'm still playing through RDR2. Almost done. I'm just above 95% done due to a few remaining challenges, the last 6 missions of the game, and for some reason the taxidermy quest is not going away even though I beat it.

Stopped playing RDR2 due to life getting in the way and... well... I kind of don't care to go back to it. I mean it looks fantastic but with how clunky the controls are, it feels like the game doesn't want me to actually play it. I thought about resubbing to PSOnline to try the online beta but with all the economy grind and none of my friends with PS4s I'm gonna' pass on it until/if it comes out on PC.

Played some Mario Kart 8 Delux at a friends on Switch and that was fantastically fun. I haven't played a Mario Kart since the Wii. We also played Rocket League, which was just damn fun as well. Although I might pick that up on PC instead. Work has been handicapping me from playing Monster Hunter World and getting into the Winter Festival going on.

LEGO DC Supervillains which is GREAT! It actually incorporates the create a character into the story mode (several LEGO games treat it as an afterthought only used for goofy "dress up" missions).
Only small issue is waiting on more DLC since I opted for the deluxe version.
They have part of the Aquaman movie as DLC currently (along with some other character packs).
One thing to mention is they got Mark Hamill as Joker & Kevin Conroy as Batman (along with several other great voice actors).

Also played the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, I played most of the Spyro games when they came out.
This makes them really nice looking, but also sometimes a bit harder/easier than the old versions.
Not sure if I will bother getting 100% on them or not. Already getting kinda frustrated at certain parts.
Of course I must mention that in order to play all 3 games, it does require quite a large download...

Street Fighter V has been free to play this past week on Steam, so I've put a few hours into it since Tuesday. The game's appeal has improved drastically over the past couple years, with the addition of better single-player content and more characters, but it still falls a little flat for me. I think it looks good (save for a few character models leaving much to be desired), and the music is mostly well done, but its presentation and gameplay lack the energy and fun factor of SFIV. Compared to other fighting games on the market this generation (e.g. Killer Instinct, Dragon Ball FighterZ), SFV is not as engaging and doesn't do much to distinguish itself. Also, in-game ads for DLC? Really? Maybe they help pay for the free week, but I feel moody enough looking at the real-world prices of content in Killer Instinct, and I adore that game.

On a higher note, I played the third and final episode of DUSK, an FPS with a late-'90s graphical aesthetic. It draws a lot of inspiration from Quake, Blood, Doom, and other shooters of that era, but manages to surpass most of them with great level design, exciting gameplay, and an impressive soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult. Episode 3 is a fantastic ending: it evokes a surprising range of emotions, introduces some truly strange enemies and levels, and easily one-ups the final boss of Quake 1 while drawing from the same reference pool. Absolutely give this game a chance if you're into shooters.

Still working on AC Odyssey. I was hoping to finish it off soon but I'm probably going to be on it until RE2 comes out in a month. I'm also playing Lets Go Eevee on the Switch here and there. I just got the Thunder Badge the other day.

So I'll try to finish off Odyssey closer to RE2.

I finished Shadow of the Tomb Raider today and have no desire to go back and get the remaining collectibles I wasn't able to get.

The gameplay was fine, as it was no different than the previous two games. The problem was the story, it was so booooooooooooooooooooooooooring. The villains of the game were so bad that one of the two mains That was hilarious. I also loved it when That scene was quite awesome.

Other than those few moments in the last section of the game, and one where Lara rises out of some water in a rage, it was pretty mediocre.

Just finished off the main story of AC: Odyssey what an amazing game probably the best the series has to offer.

Now I'm going to divide my time between doing AC:O side stuff and Pokémon Lets Go Eevee until RE2 comes out in a few weeks.

I've got Odyssey and Spider-Man to play. I was planning to buy RE2 day 1, but after hearing about the microtransactions, I think I'm going to hold off for a bit and just play Spider-man instead. As for Odyssey, I'll play it sometime later on in the year. I'm sure I will like it given its just Origins reskinned.

In anticipation for RE2 at the end of the month, I finally started to play the PS4 version of REmake. I haven't actually played the game since before RE6 came out, so I've forgotten the sequence of certain things, which has made the game go on longer than I anticipated. Not just that, but this is my first time since 2002 of playing through the game without the infinite ammo Samurai Edge gun, so that's not helping matters either. On the other hand, it's been a blast replaying this game as if I am playing it for the first time ever as I've forgotten how atmospheric and engaging the game is. There are truly some legitimate moments of suspense, but god damn do I still hate it when Lisa shows up.

Even with 8 slots in Jill's inventory I'm still finding myself having item issues. Like I said, this is the first time I'm playing the game without an infinite ammo handgun, so I'm not sure to carrying handgun bullets with me. Unfortunately, it also means I'm not going to be able to beat the game in the 5 hours required for the Samurai Edge seeing as how I played it for about four hours today and I just now got to the caves underneath the mansion. That's going to make Chris' game tougher than normal. lol

Nevertheless, like I said, I am having a blast replaying this game and the updated visuals and control scheme don't hurt either, though, the new controls are still not perfect when it comes to quick camera angle changes. There was one moment where I kept going into a circle due to my inability to adjust the stick quick enough between the angles. Fortunately, that's only happened every now and then. It is interesting to be playing a classic styled RE game without the tank controls though. I never thought that was possible. Not to mention it just feels so natural playing this game with a PS controller despite it being a GameCube game originally.

I'll probably replay REmake HD later this year myself. I did play through RE0 HD last year and I forgot how good that game was. I'm guessing next year we'll get RE8 or an RE3 remake which Capcom is strongly hinting at.

You like RE0? I mean, I don't exactly hate it, but there is a reason it is my lowest replayed classic RE game.

Anyway, I just finished REmake and I'm a little bit mad at the game. Apparently, I played the game on Easy as I only got the trophy for beating it on Easy and not Normal, which is BS because I selected the Normal difficulty option when they gave you those three choices at the beginning of the game (which were encoded in weird verbage, but it should have been Easy, Normal, Hard, like any other video game). Though, upon thinking about it, I guess that explains why there weren't some zombies and a Hunter in some of the places I was expecting there to be. Odd though, because when I played the game on Easy back in 2002, you were given 30 handgun bullets with each pickup instead of 15. Fifteen was for Normal. I guess that means Capcom altered the difficulties and didn't bother telling you properly at the beginning of the game. Thank the gods I didn't strive to beat the game in under 5 hours to get the Samurai Edge as it would have been moot (my game time was 7 hours and 5 minutes).

Nevertheless, I did enjoy replaying this game again after so long and having to constantly conserve ammo was a bit crazy. The only part I hate with the game is the section where you have to bring the nitro power cell to the one machine WITHOUT running. UGH!! Such a terrible game design, especially when its in a room with monsters that keep spawning.

I've "beaten" pretty much all there is to do in AC Odyssey until the DLC comes out. So now I'm working on the first Spider-Man DLC until RE2 comes out in a week.

Speaking of RE2 I also beat the demo they released on Friday it was short but sweet, can't wait for the full game.

Spider-man DLC is now 100% complete. Trophy wise though I don't think I'll get 100% of those that where added post launch as one requires beating the game on the new difficulty setting they released with NG+ and there's trophies added for getting gold rating on all the new challenges they released for each of the DLC packs.


Started RE2 Leon's campaign on Normal and so far its amazing. I had one jump scare on me.

Spent about 7 hours on RE2 today. For the most part it has been a lot of fun with a lot of tension. I love how they make up for the lack of fixed camera angles with the lighting as there are times you hear a zombie, but can't see where it is until it's too late. The game can have its difficult moments. Hell, I almost died during the opening segment at the gas station.

Speaking of dying, I died a lot in the kennel area of the police station thanks to a pair of Lickers hanging out there. The worst part of the game is Mr X though. He's not neccesarily hard to run away from, it's the fact that you have to run away from him though that drives me nuts. He's like the Xenomorph from Alien Isolation just without the one hit kill. I missed out on a lot of goodies in the police station due to him.

The enemies are bullet sponges though. One zombie took 9 shots to the head before it felt and then I had to knife it a bit more. Sometimes it's better to just shoot a zombie in the legs and then slash at it when it is crawling at you. Additionally, the first boss, was also annoying as I used up all of my acid rounds and flame rounds on him and he still wasn't dead. It took another 20 shots to bring him down. I can only imagine what he is going to be like later on in the game at this rate.

Anyway, I think I'm about halfway done if I base it on the structure of the original game. Of course, for all I know, they added a whole new section and I could only be a quarter of the way through. I do like how everything is done in a more realistic manner, though it does make most of the puzzles easy to solve. I can't say there was really one that truly stumped me. The atmosphere is intense and there are some truly epic scenes. I just wish they had kept Mr X scripted though because if this is how they are going to do Nemesis (assuming they do a RE3 remake), it's going to be one annoying ass game.

Going to try and finish Leon's campaign tonight or tomorrow. Then I haven't decided if I'm going to move on to Claire's right away or play something else then come back to Claire's. I've been so busy that I haven't had time to play that much. I'm just past the part where you see Mr. X for the first time (I refuse to call him Tyrant).
