Hm, I’d have preferred the ‘95 suit (with swap-out elbow spike arms!).

But this one does look pretty cool. I still kinda regret not getting the ‘96 version.

I figured out what is wrong with it, he doesn't look mean enough.

Yeah, the face (maybe just the eyes, even) don’t look fierce enough.

EDIT:
Comparing it to a few screenshots, two things stood out to me. The nose of the figure is too “upturned” making it look more cute and less sinister. The pupils on the eyes are pointed forward towards the front corner of the eye instead of being centered in the eye, which also somehow makes it look more cute and less mean.

Both things are VERY subtle, but they somehow have enough impact to create a rather noticeable difference in the “meanness” of his appearance.

I agree that the face is off. It's still a nice figure, but the distinct features (nose, eyes) that make this Gamera are lacking.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd my KiryuGoji replacement from Amazon has eyes even worse than the first one they sent me. It won't even let me order another replacement, only a straight up refund. WTF? That's three figures now in a row with bad eyes. How did Diego Doom get two with perfect eyes?

So the 62 version has been revealed. It looks pretty cool. I hope there is a Kong to go with him soon.

Hey, you found more pics than the ones on TK! Are there more? This guy looks incredible. I never bought the ‘64 because I didn’t like the articulation choices (or the size), but this guy looks great! Really makes me wish they’d do an all new ‘64 (with interchangeable GvTT and GTTHM heads)...

I'm going to wait on two things before I decide to get him:

1. If they do Kong to go with him.

2. I want to see the paint job of his eyes before I commit.

The designs are great and the tweaks to Godzilla "fix" most of my minor issues with the '14 design. I wonder if Ghidorah's wings and legs will be more possible in released version or the size and weight will keep them less articulated. The necks look more posable than the 90's Ghidorah. Also, how big of a loan will I need to buy the new Ghidorah? He looks MASSIVE as hell.

I'm most excited about the Rodan photo. I've seen some other pictures and I love the design. King Ghidorah looks epic, but those huge wings look like they may collapse/break easily. The updated Godzilla looks nice as well.

So my big purchase at G-Fest was the SHMA G'62. It was $11 more than if I bought it off Amazon but whatever, I just consider that an up charge for the experience of the convention and an "immediately-in-hand" convenience fee.

Anyway, it took some looking at the production shots, but for quite awhile, .

I mean look at it...

But,

I got NECA's G'62 as well and while that was an amazing figure for NECA, and hopefully an upward trend for future figures, I love the MonsterArts one more.

Not Godzilla related but apparently

My wallet weeps at that news. With how popular MH is in Japan, hopefully, this will be a good line for Tamashii Nations. I just hope we haven't heard much from the Godzilla side of SHMA because of GvK's delay and not them shifting priorities to Monster Hunter.

Personally, Bandai should just scrap the MonsterArts line and start doing Kaijus under the Figuarts line like they did with the Ultra Act one. Having a separate line for what is essentially a dead line is pointless.

It's not dead, just stuck dealing with movie tie ins. In 2018 there were only 2 new figures/sculpts, MG'74 and G'02. In 2019 there were 5; G'62, G19, Ghidorah'19, Rodan'19 and Mothra'19. The delay of GvK probably also put a damper on their plans. When they should have been showing off figures they had for that original March release they now only have BuringG'19 and with the new release of November '20, anything not related to the movie was probably pushed well into 2021.

Considering KotM was in May last year and KvsG is not until Nov, they've had plenty of down time.
