I heard Crystal follows the manga.

Anyhow did the random watch game (choose a certain number of movies/shows, mix the discs up, carefully count them off by a certain number, and put the disc into the player without looking).

Got School Rumble disc 2 (already watched disc 1).
Still really fun.

Black Butler Book of Atlantic was pretty cool.
Got it at a local Best Buy.
Hopefully there is gonna be more Black Butler.

Bought Gun X Sword at a local Half Price Books.
Had a 15% coupon from my B-Day.

Also visited the new Kinokuniya Japanese Book Store that recently opened in Austin.
The location is a bit small, but they have some neat stuff.
Got a My Neighbor Totoro puzzle that looks like a stain glass window.

Random anime night after watching Mary & The Witches Flower that I rented via Redbox (had a free rental for my B-Day).

Ended up finishing disc 1 of Ristorante Paradisio (got a bit more interesting).
Then watched one episode of School Rumble from disc 3 of the first season (SAVE), it was the firework episode.

OK I guess I will add more stuff I watched...

Girls Last Tour via Amazon Prime was kinda slice of life, but also kinda dark.
The character designs for the main girls reminded me of Azumanga Daioh.

Then I watched A.I.C.O. via Netflix was decent action with a kinda odd story.
The girls were cute though.

Still watching School Rumble (again) up to the last disc of season 1.
Still really fun.

Also watched the GKids Blu-Ray of Ponyo.
Still fun, cute, and great looking.

Moving to a new house soon.
Not sure if I will be able to post for a bit (they finally blocked this site at work).
Now I can only look at Godzilla Movies site, Amazon, and various LEGO sites.

Ripped through Sands of Destruction, seemed a lot more fun than I remember (think I rented it via Hastings/Netflix).
Will be a keeper.

Finished season 2 of School Rumble (rewatch) still really fun!
Still kinda annoyed they never bothered making a OVA/Movie about the upcoming school trip to England.

Started on Mayo Chiki seems kinda fun so far (but also a bit on the naughty side).
So far we have a guy who gets beat up every day by his little sister, so of course he has some allergy to ladies.
He quickly finds out a butler to the most popular/attractive lady at school is actually a girl.
So hijinks ensue.

Up to episode 4 of Mayo Chiki.
So guys are thinking the MC & butler are gay lovers, girls are jealous since they think the butler is a guy.
Plus the MC's sister falls in love with said butler (cause the butler kicked her in defense of the MC).
They do the usual physical checkup thing (they measure each others chest), and then go to the pool (butler keeps a shirt on).

Through all this nobody figures out what's going on...

Also slowly watching Fate/Extra Last Encore via Netflix.
So far it's OK.
Though Rin is very cute in this version.

Finished (at least what Netflix has) Fate/Extra Last Encore.
It was pretty good, and different from the other Fate stuff.

Also watched season 2 of Sword Gai.
Had decent action, interesting characters, but a kinda odd story.

Bought & watched Ai Tenchi Muyo.

It was fun & felt like Tenchi.

Good:
They got a lot of the old dub voices back.
Despite characters being designed a bit different, you could tell who they were.
The Blu-Ray got rid of the TV recap episodes (every 5th episode).

Bad:
Some of the replacement dub voices for classic Tenchi characters were "eh".
Each episode is only 4 minutes long (including closing song), & it's 50 episodes long (so LOTS of closing songs).
No Ryo-Ohki (the cute cat-like creature).

I've been watching a lot of seasonal anime this year.

From winter I watched Violet Evergarden, Pop Team Epic, and Mitsuboshi Colors; I finished The Ancient Magus Bride and Mr. Osomatsu Season 2 as they concluded, picked up A Place Further Than the Universe and After the Rain when the season ended, and followed Darling in the FranXX as it continued into the next season(s).
Spring brought Dragon Pilot: Hisone to Masotan, Hinamatsuri, Tada Never falls in love (caught up after it finished), My Hero Academia season 3 (ongoing), and Gegege no Kitaro (also ongoing).
Now in summer, I'm following Hanebado!, Attack on Titan season 3, Planet With, FLCL Progressive (actually that one's done), Asobi Asobase, Cells at Work!, and Chio's School Road - and there are still some shows I meant to catch up on!!
*whew*

With all that, I've at least enjoyed the majority of what I've selected, with Universe, Dragon Pilot, and Planet With being the main highlights of their respective seasons. I'm also (slowly) making my way through my Blu-rays of K-On!!, as well as continuing through Lupin the IIIrd Part 2.

Finished Mayo Chiki, is there a second season?
I ask cause it leaves it very wide open on the 13th episode.

Also did Funimation & Section 23 cut some sort of deal recently?
I ask cause I thought Section 23 had Angel Links, but Funimation is releasing that soon.
Also apparently both Negima anime series went to Section 23 (and they are re-releasing them on Blu-Ray) (and they got UQ Holder).

In other news apparently Discotek is gonna release all 40 episodes of Voltus V on Blu-Ray (SD Blu-Ray).
They also got Giant Robo The Day The Earth Stood Still (HD Blu-Ray), Area 88 OVA, and some other cool stuff (a rare Go Nagai one).

^Giant Robo is pretty fun. I have the media Blasters DVD set from 2004. The cool thing is it contains both English dubs (The original LA Hero dub, and the Manga Ent. one). It also has the Ginrei Special (which i have never watched) . One of only Two Super Robot Anime spin-offs I'm aware of that don't feature a Super Robot.

Also I'm excited to hear about Voltes V. I have an unlicensed copy of the international English dub (which i hope is included somehow)... But I kind of wish they would have released Combattler V before Voltus V. But I'm not going to reject this release, as long as they keep releasing Super Robot series, I am definitely excited. . Also I might try Area 88, I've never seen it, but I sure do remember the Arcade Game (which was ported to SNES) as U.N. Squadron!

I've been trying to get my son into any Gundam series, since we've gone back and been playing Dynasty warriors Gundam 2 on PS2 which he seems to like. But he just gets bored really easy. I've tried Wing (which was the jumping on point for most Americans back in 2000). I've tried the original....I dont want to try any other UC series because without the backstory it can get confusing. I'm still trying to finish Victory myself. I love the animation, its just finding the time has been a challenge.

Also not really anime, but my son wanted to go through Thundercats (2011) again. Such a great series. If DC/WB streaming service is successful, who knows, maybe they can bring it back...

Bought Interviews With Monster Girls at work.
So far it's pretty fun (episode 5 or so).
No real fanservice (somebody takes a bath, but it doesn't really show anything).
Dub is decent.
Kinda slice of life with cute monster girls (Vampire, Snow Woman, Dullahan, & Succubus teacher)/

I got distracted by summer stuff halfway through Escaflowne a few months ago, and instead of just starting back up with episode 14 I decided to skim those first 13 episodes to get it fresh in my mind but I got pulled in and just ended up rewatching the entire first half of the series! I'll get to episode 14 this evening.

Watching My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Super, Pop Team Epic, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Diamond is Unbreakable) on Toonami. Maybe the best Toonami lineup ever? Never got into Attack on Titan. Wish I had jumped on to Hunter x Hunter in the beginning.

Finally discovered Yamato 2202 was on Crunchyroll. Only 5 episodes in, and it is just as amazing a re imagining of the 2nd series as 2199 was of the first. I love the idea/explanaiton of the "reverse system" was how the Earth was able to build such a massive fleet of ships in only 3 years. They definitely took the best of all the previous lore and made it a much cleaner continuity, yet still allowing for world building and new characters.

So...Do You like Gundam ? Do you like Transformers....Did you ever want ALL Your Gundams & Transformers to be bullet Trains... Sure why not... I just discovered the series


Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion subtitled online. Looks fun. Of course Japan has always tried to push it's Bullet Trains as much as Cars, Planes or any other form of Transportation. i dig them myself, but most western kids dont mostly because Trains are used mostly to move freight, and not so much passengers anymore. But still...this looks fun. And for the record, i always adored the official Transformers that were made from Bullet Trains, even if they were mostly ignored in the American versions.
