^The phrase I read from a Japanese fan was the release was typical of 'a late night anime' movie spinoff, not a wide-release film. If so, I wonder just how much those types of releases tend to make?

BLAME!, Polygon/Netflix's previous movie (released this passed summer) is coming to home video next month, for those of y'all still worried that Netflix involvement might preclude a physical release and thus throw off their compete Godzilla DVD/Blu-Ray collection.

^I'm actually hoping they wait and release all 3 films in a set, I think it would be more appealing than individual releases. Also, there are still 8 original Godzilla films not released on BRD that are preventing my collection from being complete, so I'm not really worried about the animated films at the moment.

I'll deviate and say I hope it's NOT a set.

This is under the horribly vain hope that parts 2 and 3 aren't rancid sacs of rotten eggs like the first, and I can avoid having to pay any amount of money for that first one.

The reality is I fully expect parts 2 and 3 to be every bit as awful as the first and this to be the first Godzilla home video release I skip completely.

If you read those, you get a feel for how they're likely to answer the Mechagodzilla size differential question. At least they (kinda) thought about it...I honestly thought they'd just have MG be as big as the gigantic Godzilla and just ignore the issue entirely.

I like how menacing Mechagodzilla looks... of course, he looked vaguely menacing in the poster to the '93 film...

I wonder if those two native women are based on, lets say, two classic Toho characters?
