Video of the SH Monsterarts figure on display that gives a good close-up look at some of his features:
The words that spring to mind after seeing his face there are definitely "old" and "tired", which I guess is appropriate with him being some 20,000 years old. I like the more wolf-like look of his head and the various other departures from the Legendary design that are more apparent after seeing more of these pictures than when we first got a look at him. I'm not sure I like how almost invisible his eyes seem to be though, especially since almost every part of him seems to be the same colour. It kinda gives the impression that he's half asleep or something.
I'm guessing that might at least in part be to make him look almost statue-like and ancient, like he's so old he's literally almost becoming something akin to a walking fossil (or at least give that impression).
And yeah, leaf-like spines and almost bark-like skin. Very plant-like indeed. Depending on how they actually
do handle his origin/biology it could certainly be a pretty big departure from the norm, maybe even more so than Shin Godzilla. I'm sure it'll play a big part of this whole... ...which just raises further questions that should, hopefully at the very least, be interesting to see how they answer.
