One trick pony is such a limited way to look at it. Sakai can sculpt Godzilla and his many designs like no other human alive. When lit properly they practically look like film stills.

The Heisei Mechagodzilla is easily my least favourite Mechagodzilla design, but even I have to admit those pics look really nice. It'd be tempting if I actually had enough money to get it, along with all the other SH Monsterarts figures I'd like to have but can't afford.

Frankly, I don't see how this is better. You can either pay $120 for this set without the effects parts and get yourself a Garuda, or you can go onto Mandarake and get the Garuda with all of its effects for $150. If I'm going to have spend over $100 I'd rather just get the piece i need with the accessories for $30 more.

I'm just as tired of tamashii's bullcrap as any of you may be.

That said...I want this new mechagodzilla. It has the chrome paint, the proper eye color, and motha-fuggin' garuda. I'll probably keep my original one, if only for the extra effect parts.
