it's probably not a good sign that its been out less than a month and i am able to get a used copy for $8 plus shipping...
Anyway, it was OK... there are plenty of fun and imaginative creatures. The plot was a little thin for the runtime (scientist are harvesting negative energy from elementary school students feeling sad by giving them pokemon type creatures to play with)... but there was plenty of beautifully shot sequences and interesting design. It could have benefited from some edits to fix the pacing, and the Fukushima politics felt shoe horned in, which made it seem a little insensitive and shallow.
That said the trailer for Jellyfish Eyes 2 looks like they really amped everything up a notch, so i'm keeping that on my radar.
