Aren't Sentai's releases rather pricey, though? Still, it will be good indeed. I have yet to see The Big O at all.

The news about the Gundam franchise is very exciting, to say the least.

Not sure about Sentai's prices, but whenever their Big O set (or sets) hit it's bound to be less than the asking prices for the most recent Big O dvd releases. The current asking prices for the Anime Legends editions are $70 for Vol. 1 and $80 for Vol. 2.

Usually, but I have seen their releases sold at certain retail stores as well.

Hastings, and Fry's in particular (there used to be one last Suncoast nearby that May have had some, but it finally closed down).

At the Fry's I work at I have seen these:

Irresponsible Captain Tylor (new single DVD sized case)
Jujo Romantica
Dirty Pair (collection 1)
Princess Nine (they recently got the license IIRC)
2 other rather recent releases from Lucky Penny & Nozomi (will look again to see what they are)

Ohhh! that's interesting. Pretty intriguing concept in the manga, but I dont think its been running long enough to see how it pays off. At this point i can only picture the anime as incomplete or rushing an ending.

In many cases the newer releases are much much cheaper than buying all those singles.
Of course back when they sold them that way, the releases were usually spaced out over a couple years (or at least one year). Which made it seem less painful.

I have consolidated a few of my older singles down to the newer slim cases, and it makes a ton of difference.
You can always try to sell the singles online, or try to sell them to a used store.
Though some places won't take the singles unless it's a boxed set.
Of course if you are desperate you could sell them to HPB, but don't expect much $.
Or better yet (if you are a generous person) you could donate them to your local library so other people can enjoy them.

That's probably what I will do (if DVDs are still used by then) when I leave this life...of course I hope that is a LONG time from now.

Finally: Funimation will release Outlaw Star on Blu-Ray this summer!

Great for folks who don't have this long out of print Toonami classic, but I'm still happy with my black box with gold lettering set from the early '00s. One of my earliest DVD purchases! I mowed lawns that summer to buy that and Rhino Home Video MST3K single releases!

kind of surprised, but happy we'll be getting Gatchaman F not long after Gatchaman II. Finally the trilogy will be complete!
