a thought occurred to me that perhaps they could have had the wings incorporated into the figure. Afterall it is just the matter of the wing appendages expanding to show the bat like membrane. What they could have maybe explored is something like an umbrella styled mechanism. Much like an umbrella you would use to open up to keep rain off of you, the arm appendage right behind the main arm piece pulls down due to some sort of swivel joint at the base of the paw on both arms. When you extend that back arm piece down/forward, there is a tough plastic or cloth soft material that has a couple of slim mini brace rods (like you would see on the undersides of an umbrella) to help keep the expanded material firm and looking like a bat's wing. The inner soft (but tough) material would be painted nicely of course and you don't have to do arm swaps or newly designed figure to show a flight form. The paws would be on a joint that allows them to pivot forward for that flight look along with the now outstretched wing parts. Instant flight form and a more functional toy without having to create two mold designs. Of course it bumps up the price a little more, but at least a collector would not have to buy two figures and would be happier with just one that is more functional.
I can hear really well and I am STRONGER than ever!
