PLEEEEEEAASE be an Otachi, Raiju, or Slattern. I don't care for Mutavore, Karloff, Onibaba, or any of those other kaiju. Well, let me clear that up, I don't care for those UNTIL I see the kaiju that were more emphasized.

Leatherback - check
Trespasser - check
Scunner - check
Knifehead - double check

On a side note, I need to really catch up with the collecting. I haven't purchased any PR figures since the first Knifehead. Leatherback is roughly $50 alone right now, but I think I saw the Gipsy Danger + Leatherback pack for like $54 or something somewhere, that would probably be a better deal. I personally don't care to grab any Jaegers, but if I did have to grab one it might as well be Gipsy.

I follow NECA on Twitter, and unfortunately one of the only Pacific Rim kaiju responses they said "not right now, maybe later" was Slattern - so he's most likely not there now. Maybe I'll dig it up later if it matters too much.

I'm not getting my expectations past the concept Axehead and Mutavore or Hardship, myself.

I'll be annoyed if they start doing concept kaiju over kaiju in the film.

Don't they already have figure based on Tresspasser's concept design, Axehead, in the works for the next series?

In their defense, Slattern is a very tentacle-ly kaiju and also the biggest, making it the SHMA Biollante of the line. So to keep to scale with the others it'd still be huge and expensive and they probably don't think people want to pay much more for a new figure than they're already paying for. Just a little devil's advocate there.

That being said, they should still make a Slattern, since they're already scraping the barrel with concept kaiju.

I think Axehead is intended for a solo non-series release like Scunner is, but yes, he's in the works for now. Basically Trespasser with different skin, green highlights and a different backpack, as seen on the SDCC Jaeger packaging and I think Scunner's.

NECA is scraping the barrel already because it's easier and slightly cheaper to use retools of the same figure than entirely unique sculpts they can't reuse outside of battle-damaged decos. Even another biped like Raiju or a fully updated Leatherback is harder than tooling a new head and some limbs and putting a rubber armor suit on Knifehead/Trespasser to make Scunner.

I am still so hopeful to see Onibaba. It isn't out of the size range of the newest releases (being an earlier kaiju in the story line) and it would look interesting in the line. Much like Gamera for SH MA, Onibaba shouldn't be complicated to make.

Did anyone notice that a lot of the plackards say "Jaeger Series 4"... makes me wonder if they are just going to do Jaegers as regular releases and the occasional "deluxe" kaiju release (a la Scunner and Axehead Repaint)

Pre-ordered Gypsy 2.0.

I can almost guarantee that standard kaiju for wave 5 will be Knifehead.

Otachi looks awesome and while I really want her...I just don't know where she'd go in my collection so for now I have to pass.

My Scunner and Crimson Typhoon came in today. Of the three four-armed kaiju, Scunner is my favorite. Tremendous detail, but I am glad they should be done with this mold (minus Axehead). I'll probably be skipping Axehead unless something about it REALLY woos me over, but I doubt it. CT is a cool figure and the three arms and red paint really make it stand out against the other four Jaegers.
