I really don't understand the reasoning why authors like Powell/Marsh/Ciaramella/John Layman and now Bunn and Wachter have such a hard on for GMK Ghidorah....other than a very small (though at times vocal) minority, G fandom as a whole
*OVERWHELMINGLY* prefers the showa/heisei incarnations of KG by a substantially wide margin....no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Sadly, other than KG's appearance in HCW (Stokoe seems the only authur who has had any sense in how to use Godzilla's arch nemesis and most powerful foe properly), the other authors/artists working on these books seem solely fixiated on using arguably the least popular incarnation of what should be Godzilla's most imposing foe...I don't get it
Now, I'm not damning this series nor saying that I won't buy it over this matter (unlike another poster on here in regards to the appearance of some kaiju he didn't like), but it still is rather puzzling (and frustrating). Unless TOHO is forcing this upon IDW, I'd really be interested in hearing from Mowry/Curnow about the reasoning behind so many authors/artists' insistance on using GMK Ghidorah in these books....again, I just don't get it.
