What little we've seen looks very good. A few rough spots here and there, but I heard special effects continues to get polish until a week before release, so there's time to improve too.

Yeah, I love the behind the scenes stuff. It's obvious now that the monsters were all 100% CGI, but did they use motion capture? I like that it had a balance of both human and animalistic qualities to Godzilla's movements.

my vote is still Pacific Rim..Otachi in particular

Pacific Rim's effects were done by ILM with a gigantic, practical set for inside the Jaeger heads.

I feel like Godzilla's stuff was better overall


but it was nowhere near as interesting as what Pacific Rim did.

I also vote pacific rim. The effects were not only more dynamic and interesting, they were more convincing. Godzilla's effects weren't bad, but they did feel somewhat uneven at times. Not to mention pacific rim actually showed us the monster action and destruction instead of cutting away (I don't care what the apologists say, that was cheap and irritating, especially on my second viewing).

Plus they get major bonus points for all the practical sets, especially the jaeger heads!

I think the giant head sets make Pacific Rim win out for me.

But I also think the MUTOs are cooler than anything in Pacific Rim.

In a battle of the tension, viciousness and license of Godzilla vs the color palette, ingenuity and fun of the Pacific Rim battles..

Pacific Rim...but its 1a vs 1b type deal..
They both did great with flying Kaiju, I would love Rodan done Pacific Rim style

I thought Pacific Rim did a better job of nailing the physics and I also appreciated the vast amounts of color. That said Godzilla also had some beautiful shots set up. Overall though I give the nod to PR.
