Hi, everyone, this is my first post on here. Some of you might know me from Generation Kikaida and Henshin Justice althought I've been out of the scene for a while. I had severe health issues and then got busy with raising my daughter.
And it's because of her that I'm making this post. She'll be 5 soon and she absolutely loves Gamera, is big fan of all the Showa and Heisei films and it was because of GAMERA THE BRAVE. I think Kadokawa knew what they were doing when they made this because it appealed to children and validated the feelings of Showa era Gamera fans with that spectacular flashback at the beginning. If the plot seemed a bit unoriginal, so be it, because considering Kadokawa was testing the waters, you don't try to reinvent the wheel on a big financial risk.
I would love to see another Gamera film that follows this one up. I don't know where things sit at the moment but it's been many years since then and we need a new Gamera film.
By the way, after watching the movie my daughter insisted I get her this:
Yes, she named it Gamera!
