Godzilla's Height

How tall was Godzilla in GXMG, SOS, and GFW? Were there ever any "official" stats released?

55 meters in G2K and GxM, 60 meters in GMK, GxMG, and GMMG, and 100 meters in GFW.

I don't mean to contradict you, Benjamin, but I'm pretty sure Godzilla was back to being fifty-five metres tall in GxMG and Tokyo SOS. GMK was the only movie where he was sixty metres tall.

were these numbers ever released by Toho or anything??? i mean i'm sure you could figure it out if you knew the height in real life of the buildings he was next to and all but who has time for that??

it's kind of interesting to know though and to realize that the miniature effects were/are clearly better with a 50-60 meter tall Godzilla as opposed to 100

I remember the 55m for G2000, 60m for GMK, and 100m for Final Wars being official Toho stats released during the films' promotions. Unfortunately I'd be hard pressed to actually provide a source for those. As for GxMG or Tokyo: SOS.... I have no idea.

GxMG had the official stats up on the website, I remember that much. For Tokyo: S.O.S I have no idea, it's in my film book for it though.

It really depends on who's directing the effects. Gamera was 80 meters in the 90s and Legion and Irys were both over 100 meters tall but Higuchi just knew what the hell he was doing when he directed those effects. Unlike, say, Kawakita's work for Godzilla's 90s entries.
