Oh, okay...I got lost there for a second
In execution, GvsMG had 'classier' effects, but the effects overall didn't enthrall me because it's all stuff we've seen before; they may have been darned purdy rays shooting out of MG's mouth, but I think MOGUERA firing those crazy missiles is a lot cooler because we haven't seen that before. And the same goes for the monsters themselves: MG may have been very well-executed, but the design was downright boring, if you ask me.
That's the basic gist, I guess: GvsMG is superior in execution, but GvsSG is superior in concept. And it really comes down to one's personal preference, but I found GvsMG to be just disheartening, while GvsSG, although suffering from several "cringe" moments, really shined when it was good.
