I wonder why they don't.....surely they have people to patrol japanese message boards, but american ones?

If they'd do that, they'd have to have people patrol the world's message boards, because quite possibly, just maybe, someone in another country's writing the exact same thing we are and coming up with the same, or possibly better, ideas.

BTW - If Production I.G.(Ghost in the Shell) did the Godzilla anime, it'd be awesome. If they loosened up from what they're used to, and decided to give Godzilla his own style, they'd own. Not to mention how much life they'll give the characters - and even moreso, Godzilla himself.

Them....or the team behind the new Evangeleon.

Yep. His eyes would roll, his brow would furrow in other ways besides just up or down, his head and posture could shift, his neck could bend, he could claw with his foot...

Don't get me wrong, I'm partial to the ways that suit actors have been able to express so much with so little. But we'd see a whole other range of expression with the archtype itself.

Same with Mothra or Ghidorah. For example, she could have a visually pleasing claw/jaw attack and he could be more mobile on the ground and swing those spikey tails for a change.

Now t think of it, Does Toho really would compromise with a poryect like that? or maybe, the G's anime should be a series or Ovas?

If TOHO were ever to do an animated Godzilla feature, OVAs could be a nice option. It may allow TOHO [and whoever they might choose to work with] the time and budget that we don't necessarily see spent on a television based anime show.

That'd be Original Video Animation.
Personally, I'd prefer a 26 episode run myself, or better yet, something spanning 40 or 50 eps. They don't make 'em like that anymore. (At least, I haven't seen many long-running anime series recently)
Now as for the show itself, I'll probably sound like a broken record, but I sure as shootin' don't want to see it go down the moody and angsty road. That sort of thing is okay for yer Evangelions and whatnot, but for a Godzilla cartoon, I'd love to see one done in the same vein as Godannar, only without the fanservice.
Lots of mayhem, mecha, and monsters - because really, that's what anime is all about anyway. :wink:

If you extend it to 26 episodes, they'll all most likely be shortened to 30 minutes each. I prefer 1 hour episodes at 13-count, because then you can tell an individual story with each episode... like Kino's Journey for instance.
