I don't think I will ever understand the hatred over this film. Every Godzilla movie has it's flaws and every person likes one more than the other for their own reasons. But I will never understand the hatred towards any of them. As a Godzilla fan, I love every Godzilla movie in spite of their flaws. I think that's what makes me a Godzilla fan I guess.
Godzilla Final Wars is one of my favorites. It's fun, funny, crazy, action packed and over the top movie full of monsters, mutants, aliens, and spaceships. It's funny because every non Godzilla fan person that I've shown this movie to loves it.
But oh well, I guess to each their own.

While at the same time I'm actually seeing GOOD Showa films start to turn up on "worst" lists...

Kids or no, non-hardcore Godzilla fans always respond positively to this movie (IN MY EXPERIENCES). I don't understand it. My Dad was 41 when we saw this at the Pickwick and he thought it was more bearable than any of the other ones. *shrug*

Don't know how I missed this, but my face immediately slammed into my desk in response.
